Meet one of our clients who is addressing the world’s “isms” to create long-lasting change

A Los Angeles native and proud resident of historic Leimert Park, Danielle Wright is committed to changing the world through storytelling, marketing, and communications in support of communities like the one she grew up in.

As the nation grappled with the hurtful realities surrounding George Floyd’s death and COVID-19, she launched Coligo, a full-service marketing agency to uplift community voices and bring awareness to critical issues. Small businesses and community-based organizations were most impacted by the pandemic, and Coligo filled a need for capacity building and marketing and communications services to help them keep their doors open.

Danielle proudly hails from a family of revolutionary luminaries. Her grandmother, Dr. Ora Mobley Sweeting, an acclaimed human rights activist and author, was Malcolm X’s right hand. Danielle’s community and upbringing fuel her passion for her work to address the “isms” in the world, like racism, sexism, and heterosexism, to name a few.

She connected with The Center to help her take Coligo to the next level. While her business is growing quickly, she is working with a business advisor to develop the fundamentals that will allow her to pursue certifications, grant opportunities, and contracts. Danielle is currently working on crafting the executive summary, mission, and elevator pitch for her company and will be applying for certifications this year.

Her dream is to scale Coligo into the first Black woman-owned conglomerate, offering social corporate responsibility services and strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion programs to create tangible and transformational change.

“The Center by Lendistry is a huge resource and has truly made an impact in the small business community. I found an organization that cares as much about my business as I do. I look forward to more growth and opportunity for my business with The Center as a critical partner and strategist,” said Danielle.
