The Atlanta BeltLine is a major urban redevelopment program in the U.S. creating parks, trails, transit and affordable housing along a 22-mile railroad corridor to boost mobility, connect neighborhoods, and enhance economic opportunities and sustainability.
To mark the end of their three-month journey, a graduation ceremony was held on May 14, 2024, for the 15 entrepreneurs (listed below). During the sessions, these entrepreneurs received personalized business advising, comprehensive support, and valuable networking opportunities with the goal of enabling these businesses to thrive and contribute to their local economy.
“This program has been so insightful. Each lesson had tools, templates, and actual resources we could utilize to get going in the right direction,” said Latrice Coleman, BBV participant and owner of Parlay Savory Saloon. “There was also a lot of confirmation of what I have been doing right all along, and that was encouraging.”
When asked about which parts of the course were most helpful for their businesses’ growth, participants stated that all the courses had been useful to them.
“I’ve learned about disaster planning, different business strategies, more about KPI’s , streamlining my business and about strategic brand/business partnerships” said Kerykay Raffington, BBV participant and owner of Kerykay Candle Co. “I think that this course is fantastic! I really appreciate that it focuses on the things that it actually takes to operate and grow a successful business.”
